John Belton

President & CEO

I joined Citizens Transfer in June of 1981 at age seventeen as a helper. I worked during the summer and other school breaks. In the summer of 1985, I started to drive short haul, under 500 miles, for one year and then I drove long haul, all 48 states, for four years. I have been to every state and to every major city in the United States. In 1991 I became Operations Manager in charge of local operations, AVL hauling operations and two warehouses. In 1994, I was promoted to Vice President of Marketing and Operations. Sales and marketing were added to my responsibilities of the company. Our father E.W. Belton retired on February 1st 2000 and John Belton, Katharine Jones and Mary Ann Belton purchased the business from him. In 2004 Mary Ann and John purchased Katharine Jones interest in the company and in 2006, I purchased Mary Ann’s interest in the company making me the sole owner. I was the President and CEO of Citizens Transfer & Storage Co., Inc., the oldest moving and storage company in Southern Arizona, since 1907 and in April of 2022 I sold the House Hold Goods and Commercial divisions to the largest Allied Van Lines agent in the world, Coleman World Wide Movers. I am now the President and CEO of Citizens Business Archives, a division of Citizens Transfer & Storage Co., Inc.
