Donna Fontaine

Vice President

Donna began her employment with Citizens Transfer & Storage, as the receptionist in 1989, at the age of 19. She was promoted within the year to the Allied Van Lines Coordinator with the Household Goods division, along with handling all local, intra-state and international moves then adding the handling of all cargo claims during her last 4 years. Donna then left the company, after 8 years, to begin her family. She worked for 2 years at FedEx Freight and came back to Citizens Transfer & Storage in 2003, once again as the Allied Van Lines Coordinator. In 2006 she shifted her focus to sales for the company. In 2007 the company had an opportunity to partner with a “last mile delivery” company which was added as a division of the HHG’s. Donna came back into the office and after the initial set-up of this business and was promoted as the Customer Service Manager while continuing to perform the duties of the AVL Coordinator and was managing the warehouse and delivery crew. She did such a good job of performing this business that another company approached us and Donna took the responsibility of adding this additional product to our lines of business along with an additional delivery team. In 2012 she was promoted to the Director of Operations, while managing the HHG’s division coordinators, she dispatched our HHG’s crews for a number of years. In 2016 Donna was promoted to Vice President, her duties were numerous and included management of all HHG’s employees, sales for the company, payroll, dispatching crews, Safety Officer, insurance compliance, employee hiring, training and employee retention and ran the company in the absence of John Belton. When we sold the Household Goods and Commercial portion of the business, she came with me to Citizens Business Archives.
