Citizens Transfer & Storage Co., Inc. is celebrating its 100th year anniversary in 2007. As Tucson’s oldest mover, it began in 1907 with three Tucson businessmen who used horsedrawn wagons to haul goods to homes and businesses throughout Southern Arizona. Now, the company serves the entire state and moves people and businesses nationally and internationally.

Ed was the first Belton family member to join the company in 1921 and eventually became the owner. He passed the business down to his son, E.W., “Bill” and then Bill’s children became the third generation to own the company.  John (left) is now sole and current owner, having purchased the remaining shares from his siblings.

Citizens Transfer is an agent for Allied Van Lines and offers many types of moving and relocation services for residential and business customers, including local, intrastate, interstate and international moving. Additionally, Citizens provides full packing services and house hold goods, document and bulk storage services.  The company emphasis is on customer service. Its staff is highly trained to handle relocations and storage for all its clients.
